US LT National Championships, Salt Lake City

The final meet of 2009 is about to start in Salt Lake City! The US Speedskating Long Track National Championships (Dec. 26-29)  will also be the last opportunity to qualify for Olympic Team spots for Vancouver.

I have qualified for the 1000m and the 1500m, but I am going to try for more. Keep me in your prayers and wish me speed- and a little luck (: )

I just signed up for Twitter! You can follow me at http://twitter.com/tmarsicano.

My latest tweet asked this question:

You ever think of how you will be remembered, how many lives you have touched and inspired, and what kind of legacy you will leave behind?

Go for your dreams. Be kind to those that cross your path in life. Live every day to the fullest.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year!

  1. We should all stop and ask ourself that question Trevor! It makes me stop and remember how life is so short and we really are leaving a mark or footprints in the sand that someone else may follow.
It's so important to keep this question in mind, because we only have this one life. You've already touched and inpsired many.
While keeping your faith and your focus, your sharing it with others as you go.
It's not just the big things...it's a smile, a prayer, a phone call, a thank you, a kind word said to a friend or even a stanger.
It's the strength you've shown in getting through the tough times and never giving up. It's the great choices your making on your own every day and the choices you will make in the future.
It's the making of mistakes and how you got through them and how you let yourself learn from them to make a better choice next time.
It's being able to have a sense of humor, to laugh, to not take yourself too seriously.
It's having the ability to reach the point of maturity to think about questions like the one you aked.
It's succeeding in whatever you're trying to do It's failing after you've tried your best and getting back up to do it all over again.
So far your legacy has just begun...

Trevor, your grandparents, aunties, uncle and cousins wish you the best of luck this weekend and can't wait to see you home!!!!
